Aiesha was just 14 months old when she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), an aggressive cancer of the blood and bone marrow. For her parents, Dr. Arafat Showrov and his wife, life changed overnight. Aiesha needed intensive treatment, and the family set out to raise more than BDT 70 lakh to pay for it.
Her family launched a public appeal: “Save Aiesha. We can fight blood cancer together.”
CCI Foundation stood beside them. Our President, Dr. Lubna Mariam, supported Aiesha directly with ৳50,000, handed over to her family to help keep her treatment going.
Even from a hospital bed, Aiesha’s smile says more than any appeal could. Her courage is exactly why CCI Foundation exists: so that no child, no parent and no caregiver has to face cancer alone.
